14-year-old girl shot and badly injured in Gresham home

At a residence in Gresham on the South Side, a 14-year-old girl was shot and seriously hurt on Sunday evening.

The girl was shot in the face inside the residence in the 1200 block of West 81st Street at around 4:50 p.m., according to Chicago police. The shooting’s full circumstances weren’t immediately made public.

According to authorities, she was transported in critical condition to Comer Children’s Hospital. No one was detained.

A guy with a concealed carry permit shot a 13-year-old child hours earlier after a confrontation after the boy broke into the man’s Kia about eight miles south.
