
A 6-year-old boy was among the 10 people injured by gunfire in Chicago on Wednesday, and three others, including a 15-year-old boy, were also slain.
According to Chicago police, 15-year-old Benjamin Ortega was shot and killed in Little Village around 9 p.m. In the 2400 block of South Trumbull Avenue, he was shot in the abdomen. He was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he passed away.
Jose Morales, 38, was shot in the stomach in the Back of the Yards area about three hours earlier and died as a result.
About 6:10 p.m., a somebody approached him while he was on the sidewalk in the 4800 block of South Wolcott Avenue and fired, according to the police. At Mount Sinai Hospital, he passed away.
A guy was killed in a car near Brighton Park early on Wednesday.
Around 2:20 a.m., the 57-year-old male was shot multiple times in the 3500 block of West Pershing Road, according to police. After being transferred there, he passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital.
A 6-year-old youngster was badly injured in Woodlawn around 12 hours later.
Around 2:20 pm, police said that he was shot in the back inside an apartment in the 6100 block of South Vernon Avenue. A trip to Comer Children’s Hospital was made for the kid.
Around 6:40 p.m., four teenagers were injured in Englewood.
They were shot while standing on the porch of a house in the 7300 block of South Union Avenue, according to the police. At Comer Children’s Hospital, a 16-year-old kid was categorised as having a decent condition. In good condition, three 15-year-old lads were sent to hospitals.
According to police, at least five additional people were shot on Wednesday throughout Chicago. In any of the attacks, there were no reported arrests.
