A 19-year-old man was shot and killed on a street in Upper Manhattan

According to authorities, a 19-year-old guy was fatally shot on a street in Upper Manhattan on Sunday.

At around 10:50 p.m. saturday, in Inwood, the victim was shot on Tenth Ave. at W. 202nd St., police reported.

The young victim’s leg was struck by the bullet, which caused a deadly wound. He was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he passed away.

Police have not yet disclosed the identify of the victim or made any arrests in connection with the incident.

The shooting happened a half-block from the Opus Lounge, where 35-year-old Jeffrey Sanchez was fatally shot on September 20 while attempting to steal a costly Cartier watch.

Three people have been detained by police in connection with that murder, which was committed by the “Own Every Dollar” gang, a vicious offshoot of the Trinitarios responsible for a number of recent brutal jewellery robberies and killings.

Separate charges brought against two dozen members of the gang in Manhattan’s state and federal courts earlier this month.
