A 6-year-old girl who was shot Saturday night in West Englewood is making a recovery

According to Chicago police officials, a 6-year-old girl is healing after being wounded Saturday night in West Englewood.

The girl was shot in the arm at 6:30 p.m. while standing close to the street in the 7200 block of South Racine Avenue, according to police. She was brought to St. Bernard Hospital, where her health was rated as satisfactory.

According to sources, 12 children have been shot in Chicago during the past week.

There have been no detentions. Detectives in the area are looking.
