A portion of Paramore’s tour earnings will be donated to organisations that provide contraception and abortion services

This week, Paramore revealed information about a live tour that will take them across North America in October.

The band will perform live for the first time since wrapping up the tour for their 2017 album After Laughter, and this string of dates will take them to several smaller locations around North America.

In a recent statement, Hayley Williams and her bandmates reaffirmed their commitment to providing reproductive healthcare and abortion services with a percentage of the tour’s proceeds.

The band expressed their outrage in their announcement statement, writing, “We are horrified by the SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe V. Wade, removing the federal constitutional right to abortion, affecting millions across the country.” “ARC Southeast, an organisation that provides money and logistical support to guarantee Southerners access safe and compassionate reproductive care, including abortion services, will receive $1 of every ticket sold for our US Fall 2022 gigs,” the band’s website states.

There will be regional variations as well, with the band promising that $1 from each ticket sold for their shows in Toronto and Bonner Springs, Kansas will go to Women’s Shelters Canada and the Kansas Abortion Fund, respectively.

“We look forward to supporting more causes on future tours,” Paramore said in closing. We appreciate your attendance at these start-up dates.
