A Wisconsin man gets detained for driving under the influence

The Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post has detained Lucy Chuy Chang, a 25-year-old Menomonie resident, for driving while intoxicated, a first offence, while carrying two minors.

Troopers from the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision near the exit 52 westbound on-ramp of Interstate 94 in Dunn County on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at 2:36 a.m.

The two young passengers and the driver were unharmed.

Following a trooper’s observation of indicators of intoxication and an investigation that included performing a standardised field sobriety test, The driver, Lucy C. Chang, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, was detained for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated—a first offense—while carrying minors.

Mr. Chang was taken to a nearby hospital for a blood test as evidence before being taken to the Dunn County Jail.

As stated in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, “You are advised that a charge is only an accusation and that a defendant is assumed innocent until and until proven guilty,” the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s directive.
