A woman is shot in the neck on the Williamsburg Bridge

The NYPD is investigating after a woman in a Manhattan-bound automobile was shot in the neck.

Police, claim it happened at around 11 p.m. on Saturday. The woman heard a loud noise while riding in the automobile with the driver as they crossed the Williamsburg Bridge.

According to police, a bullet struck the wife in the back of the neck via the car’s passenger door before stopping after striking a headrest.

The couple’s 4-year-old daughter, who was in the rear seat at the time, narrowly avoided being hit by the bullet.

After being transferred to Elmhurst Hospital, the woman received medical attention there.

The shooting is the subject of an ongoing inquiry.
