After a street takeover, thieves break into a Central Los Angeles auto parts store

Following a street takeover early on Saturday morning, an Autozone store in Harvard Heights was looted. The Los Angeles Police Department is looking into the incident.

Following reports that more than 30 people were inside the establishment and looting it from the back of the structure, police were called to the auto parts store at 1920 S. Western Ave.

When the police arrived, the robbers had left the area and an unknown number of goods had been taken.

No injuries have been recorded, and no arrests have yet been made.

Police acknowledged that there was a street takeover happening next to the store, which may have anything to do with the break-in.

Detectives are actively searching for security tapes as part of the continuing investigation.
