
Following a fatal collision on Tuesday morning in Northgate, a driver has been taken into custody.
After 4 a.m., a collision occurred on I-5’s southbound lanes at Northeast Northgate Way in Seattle.
According to Washington State Trooper Rick Johnson, the collision involved two semi trucks, two passenger cars, and a tractor-trailer.
According to Johnson, one of the car drivers was detained on suspicion of vehicular homicide. He added that one of the semi-truck drivers perished in the collision.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated at the scene.
The six-mile long back up on southbound I-5 was caused by the crash investigation, which shut down all lanes. By 9 am, three lanes had been reopened.
