At the Lake View Red Line station, a man was robbed and stabbed

The 25-year-old man was stabbed in the back and cut on the head. According to the authorities, he was hospitalised in critical condition.

After getting off a Red Line train in Lake View on Thursday night, a guy was robbed and wounded.

About 10:10 p.m., the 25-year-old male was allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation with two other men while on a Red Line train on the North Side. At the Belmont station, which is close to the 900 block of West Belmont Avenue, the three people disembarked and proceeded to down some stairs.

According to Chicago police, one of the men struck the 25-year-old with a sharp weapon, stealing his wallet in the process.

According to authorities, the 25-year-old was stabbed in the back and cut in the head. He was brought to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was rated as critical.

There were no recorded arrests.
