Following a hit-and-run in Northeast Philadelphia, a man is dead, and an investigation is in progress.
Around 9:30 on Friday night, according to police, a speeding automobile struck a person crossing the street near the intersection of Cottman and Brous avenues.
Before allegedly escaping the scene, the automobile continued to side wipe another vehicle.
After being discovered in the road, the victim, identified only as “John Doe,” was declared dead at the site.
According to the police, the suspect vehicle may be a Mercedes-Benz S500.
