
Tuesday in Chicago, there was one death and five injuries.
According to authorities, a guy was attacked fatally while riding in a car in West Side Humboldt Park at 12:40 p.m. In the 3100 block of West Huron Street, the 32-year-old guy was shot in the back. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where the Cook County medical examiner’s office said he was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m.
In the South Shore area on Tuesday afternoon, a 13-year-old boy was shot and critically injured. Around 12:30 p.m., he was struck in the arm and leg on a sidewalk in the 2100 block of East 71st Place, according to police. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital by paramedics.
Tuesday night in Austin’s West Side, a guy was shot in an alley. Around 6:30 p.m., shots were fired from a car at the 32-year-old male who was standing in an alley in the 500 block of North Central Avenue, according to the police. The victim of the head injury was sent in critical condition to West Suburban Hospital.
Tuesday saw at least three additional injuries in the city.
