Gunman fires at their cars in Washington Heights, leaving one dead and two injured

Tuesday afternoon near Washington Heights on the South Side, a shooter fired fire at their cars, leaving one man dead and two others injured.

According to Chicago police, the attack took place around 2:40 p.m. when someone in a different car opened fire in the 9200 block of South Halsted Street.

Police reported that a 31-year-old male was shot multiple times and later declared dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center.

According to police, a 29-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were both hospitalised with gunshot wounds to the legs and were in fair condition. The woman was brought to the University of Chicago Medical Center, while the man was sent to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
