Head-on collision near Pierce College in Woodland Hills results in 2 deaths

Late on Monday night, a severe head-on collision near Pierce College in the Woodland Hills region claimed the lives of two individuals.

A white sedan and a Chevrolet SUV were heading on Victory Boulevard close to the intersection with Mason Avenue when the collision happened at 11:30 p.m.

According to a Los Angeles Police Department official, one eastbound vehicle reportedly entered the westbound lanes and collided with another vehicle.

A witness to the accident reported seeing a lot of firefighters arrive.

At the scene, the driver who is thought to have crossed over the lanes was declared dead.

He was described as a 20 to 30 year old Hispanic man.

The second car’s driver was transferred to a nearby hospital where he was later declared dead.

He was characterised as a white man in his mid-twenties.

The identities of the drivers are unknown.

Between De Soto and Mason avenues, Victory Boulevard was shut down while the crash’s cause was investigated.

It was unclear if high speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role.
