The 39-year-old man was in the park in the 300 block of West Elm Street around 8 o’clock when shots were fired.

On Monday night, a man was hurt in a shooting near Seward Park on the Near North Side.

When someone started firing, the 39-year-old guy was in the park in the 300 block of West Elm Street around 8 o’clock, according to Chicago police.

He was shot in the leg and sent in excellent condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to the police.

Detectives from Area Three are looking into it.
