Authorities are looking into a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday morning close to the Granite Falls Sportsmen’s Club.
Deputies were dispatched to the 21100 block of Gun Club Road after someone contacted 911 to report that a 27-year-old man had been shot numerous times, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).
When the police arrived, the victim had already passed away. The victim and another individual got into a verbal argument, according to witnesses, before shots were fired and the suspect drove off.
After spotting the suspect driving through the Granite Falls area, SCSO deputies recognised him as a 22-year-old Mount Vernon male and placed him under arrest.
The serious crimes team, according to the authorities, is on the site and looking into the occurrence.
Authorities don’t think the victim and suspect were acquainted at this time in the inquiry.
