Donald Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social that Ivana Trump “died away at her residence in New York City.”
The New York Times said that police were looking into whether she fell down the stairs at her Manhattan residence, however he did not specify a cause of death.
Officers responded to a report at her Upper East Side apartment at about 12:40, a New York Police Department official said AFP in an email (1740 GMT).
