Jackson Park Highlands crash in Chicago left 3 dead and 1 badly injured, according to investigators

According to Chicago police, a hit-and-run collision early on Sunday morning on the city’s South Side left three individuals dead and another injured.

According to authorities, the crash occurred in the 7000 block of South Jeffery Boulevard in the Jackson Park Highlands neighbourhood at around five in the morning. The four males were struck by a car that was heading south at the time.

Three victims were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where doctors declared them dead, according to the police.

Chicago fire officials reported that another individual was taken to Stroger Hospital. His status is critical yet stable.

According to authorities, the car left the area and nobody was taken into custody.

The impact was so powerful that there were numerous shoes lying on the pavement.

Ages of the victims are currently unknown.
