Apple’s The Morning Show’s third season cast now includes Jon Hamm. The announcement comes after the Mad Men actor previously made fun of the streaming service for having an A-list talent lineup that seemed to include everyone but him. An Emmy nomination for outstanding commercial went to the “Everyone but Jon Hamm” commercial.
Paul Marks will be played by Hamm on The Morning Show. The figure is depicted as a corporate behemoth who sets his sights on UBA, dragging Cory (Billy Crudup), Alex (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) into his strong orbit.
The actress joins new showrunner Charlotte Stoudt in Apple’s flagship drama’s third season as its most recent addition (Homeland). Season three’s filming is expected to start this month.
For its second season, The Morning Show received Emmy nominations for Witherspoon, Crudup, and guest actress Marcia Gay Harden.
With representation from CAA, Forward Entertainment, and Sloane Offer, Hamm just joined the cast of the FX series Fargo and is well known for his work on Top Gun: Maverick. Additionally, he will executive produce and head up the voice cast for the Fox animated comedy Grimsburg, which is slated to appear during the broadcast season of 2022–2023.
