
In Homan Square on the West Side, a man has been accused of shooting another guy to death.
Following his capture on Tuesday at O’Hare International Airport, 27-year-old Nicholas Harris was charged with first-degree murder, according to Chicago police. Harris was due in bail court on Friday after being extradited from Knoxville, Tennessee.
Harris is accused of shooting Thomas Jones many times after they got into a fight between two groups at around five in the morning. on May 27 in the 3500 block of West Polk Street, according to the police.
Jones, 24, was brought to Stroger Hospital where doctors declared him dead, according to the police.
