Man accused of shooting to death on a South Side Red Line train

During an altercation on the train around 87th Street, Isaac Anderson, 26, is accused of shooting a 70-year-old man.

Following a tragic shooting on the Red Line last weekend on the South Side, a man is accused of murder.

On October 15, about 6:10 a.m., near 87th Street, Isaac Anderson, 26, is accused of shooting a man, 70, following an argument on the train.

The individual was transferred to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where the Cook County medical examiner’s office reports that he was declared dead early on Sunday morning. He hasn’t been named yet.

On Wednesday, Anderson was taken into custody in the first block of West 87th Street. On Friday, he was supposed to show up in bond court.
