According to authorities, the woman was located across the street from the apartment where the male was discovered in the 5200 block of West Crystal Street.
A stabbing on Austin’s West Side early on Friday morning resulted in the death of a lady and critical injuries to a man.
Around 3:25 in the morning, someone started stabbing the 40-year-old man who was in a second-floor apartment in the 5200 block of West Crystal Street, according to Chicago police. He was stabbed multiple times, and Mount Sinai Hospital was informed that he was in critical condition.
Several minutes later, a woman with neck stab wounds was discovered on the sidewalk in the 5300 block of West Crystal Street, according to the police. When she arrived at the same hospital, she was declared dead.
Police said the events appeared to be connected.
No one was detained.
