Man is shot at Jackson Park, then crosses the street to the gas station

The University of Chicago Medical Center described the 22-year-old man’s condition as critical after he had been wounded in the stomach and shoulder.

Early on Thursday, a guy was shot in Jackson Park. He fled to the gas station across the street, where he passed out.

Around one in the morning, the 22-year-old victim was shot in the stomach and shoulder while standing on a sidewalk in the 2000 block of East 67th Street, according to police.

He was brought in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center.

There were no detentions.
