On Saturday night, a shooting at an apartment complex in South Chicago left one person dead and two others wounded.
Around 11 p.m., shots were allegedly fired in the 8700 block of South Burley Avenue, where a 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were were present.
The man was shot in the back and pronounced dead at the spot. With a gunshot wound to the leg, the woman was brought to University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition.
Area Two detectives are conducting an investigation because no one is in custody.
