
On Friday night in Humboldt Park, a 50-year-old man was slain by gunfire while inside a restaurant.
The victim was shot by an unidentified assailant who fled the scene while he was inside a restaurant in the 2700 block of West Division Street, according to Chicago police.
Around 9:20 p.m., the victim was shot in the neck by a gunman who was firing from outside the restaurant via a window, according to the police.
The victim was sent to Stroger Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Area Three detectives are conducting an investigation because no one is in custody.
