Man shot in the face in a drive-by shooting on Near North Side

A person in a black Jeep approached the man’s vehicle while he was travelling south on LaSalle Street and fired four rounds at it.

On Saturday night on the Near North Side, a man was shot while operating a vehicle.

Around 9 o’clock in the evening, the 38-year-old man was travelling south in the 400 block of North LaSalle Street when a black Jeep pulled up, and someone inside fired four shots at his car, according to Chicago police.

He got a wound to his right face and was transported to Northwestern Hospital in good health.

No one was detained at the scene right away. Detectives are looking into it.
