Overnight shooting in Northridge results in 1 dead and 1 injury

Police in Los Angeles were conducting an investigation after a gunshot occurred overnight in Northridge that left one guy dead and another man injured.

The Los Angeles Police Department received numerous complaints concerning a shooting that took place in the alleyway between Schoenborn Street and Roscoe Boulevard about 11:55 p.m. on Sunday.

According to reports, the victims came in the alley where a different gang was waiting. The two groups got into a fight a short while later, which ended when one man grabbed a gun and shot the two victims.

Two men were found lying on the ground by arriving police officers. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the site, while the other was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

When the coroner arrived, there were about 20 people gathered at the site. His girlfriend is also said to have seen him killed.

No one had been detained as of Monday morning in connection with the fatal shooting.
