
Authorities reported on Saturday that one guy was hurt after an officer-involved gunshot in San Pedro.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an officer stopped a car near the junction of Pacific Avenue and 18th Street at midnight.
One guy with a pistol was discovered by the officer while searching the parked automobile. Officers made an attempt to apprehend the man after removing the gun from his belt.
Nevertheless, the defendant allegedly surged for the car despite the officer’s commands, according to the police department. This led to an officer-involved gunshot.
As a result of being struck in the hand, the man was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
For a number of hours, Pacific Avenue between 16th and 19th streets will be closed while authorities look into the matter.
