On a Friday night, Santa Barbara Police responded to reports.
At around 9:00 p.m., the police claim they got numerous complaints of a stabbing in the middle of the first west block of Anapamu Street.
Near the intersection of Anapamu Street and State Street, the cops quickly discovered a single adult male stabbing victim.
According to witnesses, the victim and the suspect(s) appeared to have been in some sort of confrontation prior to the stabbing, and the suspect(s) were last seen fleeing the area on foot in the direction of Chapala Street.
Prior to the arrival of the police and paramedics, members of the community provided the victim with care. Officers responded to the scene and used a tourniquet to stop the victim’s appendage bleeding. Paramedics took the stabbing victim to the hospital to receive medical attention. According to police, the victim’s condition is stable.
Police are looking for the possible perpetrators and have stated that they do not believe this event is connected to either the stabbing that happened earlier this week or the previous gunfire incident at Bohnett Park.
