Shooting in Chicago: A teen was shot in Lawndale, Chicago, by a man who tried to rob him

On Saturday night in Lawndale on the West Side, a robbery attempt resulted in the shooting of a teenage kid.

The 17-year-old boy was outside at 6 o’clock when a different individual approached him close to an alley in the 1100 block of South Pulaski Road and demanded his possessions, according to Chicago police.

The child said he had nothing on him, according to the police, and the other man shot him in the leg before fleeing the scene.

According to authorities, the youngster was transported to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
