Shooting in the McDonald’s parking lot in Goodyear results in two injuries and the arrest of the suspect

On Saturday, September 3, a gunshot occurred in the parking lot of a McDonald’s in Goodyear, according to authorities.

Around 10:20 a.m., members of the Goodyear Police Department responded to reports of gunshot in the parking lot next to Van Buren Street and Estrella Parkway. While the situation was still unfolding, the nearby Walmart was instructed to go into lockdown.

Despite having gunshot wounds, two victims are likely to recover.

One individual was detained in connection with the shooting, which authorities believe was probably an isolated incident involving the suspect and the victims.
