The train operator tweeted: “Services across all routes via London Bridge are badly interrupted due to a fire near to the track between Waterloo East and London Bridge.
“Trains are being terminated at alternative places or redirected to other London terminals.”
According to Network Rail, the fire that was affecting the London Bridge services was in a railway arch. The London Fire Brigade was on site with numerous pumps, and the railway was halted until it was determined to be safe, according to a tweet from the organisation.
