Two teenagers are accused of carjacking in Humboldt Park

A man’s car was stolen from Humboldt Park on the West Side, according to two juvenile males who have been charged.

The car was allegedly stolen on September 10 in the 3300 block of West North Avenue by two teenagers, ages 16 and 17.

Later that day, officers discovered the stolen vehicle parked in the same area, according to Chicago police. When police arrived, the two youngsters attempted to leave the area on foot but were quickly caught.

The 16-year-old is accused of possessing a stolen vehicle and vehicular hijacking on separate counts.

Additionally, the 17-year-old boy is accused of reckless behaviour and criminal property damage.
