After losing to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios broke a fashion rule, and the reaction from the audience was mixed
Even though it did not turn out the way Kyrgios had hoped, the Australian was allowed to leave on his own terms by walking to Center Court to accept his runner-up trophy while wearing a red cap.
Wimbledon requires players to enter the arena wearing attire that is almost entirely white, which may not seem like a huge concern to most people.
In his match against Brandon Nakashima, Kyrgios disregarded such rules, much to the chagrin of one journalist who objected to the Australian's attire during the post-match press conference.
Jose Morgado, a well-known tennis commentator, predicted that Kyrgios would incur a "huge punishment" for wearing the red cap.
However, it is safe to say that few Australians would have objected to it, and they will instead be cheering Kyrgios on for a strong Wimbledon performance.
One of the fans on twitter reacted; "I like Kyrgios, but it irritates me when he does this! When he knows the strict dress code! Especially with the royal family watching! Just disrespectful!"
